Her Story

The Struggle

Priya used to relish all kind of foods, but she was that one particular who never liked eating out, used to cook by herself at home, but last year in month of December she had to attain long series of weeding, one night she specifically mentioned that she ate paneer tikka masala but was bit spicy, next day bit of acidity and bloating did develop but she felt it was just onetime thing, which might go away eventually but days and weeks went by her acid reflux kept on growing stronger. Almost 5 months later she visited gastroenterologists and was diagnosed with h pylori infection with mild gastritis, she never imagined mild gastritis would act like severe symptoms later , as usual she was advised with 14 days of antibiotics with antacids for while which made her 30 to 40% better but soon her antibiotic course was over, all symptoms came back soon.

Daily Symptoms

  • She experienced burning sensation in her throat, weird bloating early mornings and evenings which didn't go away with regular antacids as well.
  • There was no constipation during the start but after almost 8 to 9 months laters, her stools frequency started going odd, didn't feel satisfactory after each motions.

The Breaking Point

She used to manage with basic ENO once to twice a week, but later after antibiotic course, even with antacids, she wasn't able to eat home cooked khichdi.

Our Assessment

What We Discovered

Endoscopy report did show mild gastritis with h pylori infection, but what we observed is irregular meal timings, sleep schedule was disturbed and nutrient dense meals were not taken so although she just had mild gastritis, all these points collectively triggered her symptoms like a volcano.

Root Causes Identified

  • Now because of late dinner and random sleep timings, her stomach wasn't getting enough time to digest meals, the gap between dinner and bed time was so less which obviously created Acid Reflux.
  • Now because she misused antacids for a long term, her stomach acid levels were also disrupted for which she wasn't even able to digest home cooked satvik and simple meals, so our main aim was to repair the stomach lining so her acid production could go normal by introducing certain kind of food combinations at specific levels.
  • Again because of disrupted acid levels for long term - bad bacterias started settling down in intestines which gave her unsatisfactory bowel movement.

Doctor's Analysis

Suppressing acid was worsening digestion and delaying healing. The real focus needed to be gut lining repair, digestive restoration, nervous system regulation, and gradual withdrawal from PPIs.

Treatment Protocol

Phase 1: Calm down the triggers (Weeks 1-3)

  • Normalise sleep cycles, removing food triggers which she felt were normal but were silently causing inflammation.
  • Introduced with specific supplements which actually helps to kill h pylori, bec although people take antibiotics symptoms are still persistent because of antibiotics resistance rate.

Phase 2: Restore Digestion (Weeks 4-6)

  • Now till this time the bacteria might have been eradicated so we add specific supplements which helps to heal the inflammation and stomach lining so that acid and enzyme production can go to normal gradually.
  • And all eradicate bacteria in intestinal causing unsatisfactory bowel movements.

Phase 3: Stabilize & Maintain (Weeks 7-8)

  • Now by this time the stomach wall has been recovering that it will start acid and enzyme production by itself. So at this point we will taper down medication gradually and gently introduce with protein as well.
  • Since the bad bacterias are also dead, we will introduce probiotics rich food at this particular stage.

Daily Routine

Mindful meals with proper spacing, elimination-based home diet, herbal support before meals, daily breathing practices, early dinners, corrected sleep posture initially, and gradual return to normal eating and sleeping patterns.

Her Journey

Week 1-2: Settling the Fire

Burning intensity reduced. Bloating and nausea started settling. Meals felt lighter and less stressful.

Around Day 20: Breakthrough Moment

Ate khichdi with ghee and experienced no burning or reflux. Slept peacefully through the night for the first time in 2.5 years.

Month 2: Freedom from PPIs

80% symptom reduction. Completely off PPIs. Burping reduced drastically. Appetite and sleep restored.

Month 3: Confidence Restored

Symptoms stable. Weight gain started. Social life resumed. No fear around food anymore.

Life After Treatment

6 Months Later

She is able to eat paneer tikka again, I remember she mentioned that she used to love eating palak dal but because of acidity, she left it a year ago, but in the last phase of her program, we introduced palak preparation and she was able to relish it.

In Her Own Words

“For such a long time, I was unable to eat my favourite foods. But now after following this, I not only feel like my symptoms have gone - I actually feel relieved. I have not felt stressed about eating food in 6 months and I dont have to worry about whether the food that I am craving will worsen my condition or not. I can just go and order whatever I want now. Which is amazing for me.”

  • Mindful, balanced home-cooked meals
  • Avoids known triggers without food fear
